Gurugram: MCG Issues Notice to Officials for Duty Negligence

Gurugram, Dec 2 (NationPress) - Commissioner of the Gurugram Municipal Corporation (MCG), Ashok Kumar Garg, took action on Monday by issuing a show cause notice to an Assistant Engineer (AE) and a Junior Engineer (JE) for their negligence in their responsibilities.
The MCG Commissioner addressed the notice under Rule-8 of the MC Act against Assistant Engineer (Enforcement) Krishna Kumar and Junior Engineer Milan Yadav during the 'Samadhan Camp' held at the MCG office.
Garg emphasized, "Any negligence concerning public work will be strictly dealt with, and appropriate actions will be taken against officials who fail in their duties."
While attending to a complaint regarding illegal construction in village Jharsa, the complainant, Rahul Kumar, raised concerns about ongoing illegal activities by a neighbor, stating he has reported this issue since September 10, but no action has been taken by the officials.
In response, the MCG chief promptly contacted the Assistant Engineer by phone, instructing him to act if a satisfactory explanation was not provided.
Additionally, another complainant informed the Commissioner that the Junior Engineer in their area was unresponsive to calls.
The Municipal Commissioner subsequently issued a show cause notice to the concerned Junior Engineer.
One woman reported that individuals had demolished the security wall of a park in Indira Colony-1, which has led to an increase in the presence of anti-social elements in the area and unauthorized parking encroaching on the park.
"Despite numerous complaints in the past, no action has been taken, and the Junior Engineer remains unresponsive," the complaint stated.
