Gurugram: MCG Achieves 50% Complaint Resolution at 'Samadhan Camp'

Gurugram, Dec 3 (NationPress) In a bid to expedite the resolution of public grievances and to lessen the gap between officials and citizens, the Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) is organizing 'Samadhan Camps' as part of a new initiative introduced by the Haryana Government.

The Municipal Commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg is personally overseeing the proceedings and directing officials to ensure that complaints are addressed during the hearings.

The Haryana government mandated that Samadhan Camps be held for two hours every working day starting from October 22.

According to MCG officials, during the Samadhan Camps held in the Municipal Corporation Gurugram jurisdiction, 50% of the total complaints logged from October 22 to December 3 have been resolved, while further measures are being implemented to address the remaining issues within a stipulated timeframe.

“A total of 884 complaints have been recorded in the corporation area thus far, of which 441 complaints have been resolved. Additionally, 30 complaints were found to be unrelated to the corporation and were dismissed, with complainants informed about the appropriate department. The remaining 413 complaints will require more time for resolution, and a tender process is being initiated with a deadline for these cases,” Garg stated.

While addressing complaints at the Samadhan Camp held on Tuesday, Garg resolved issues related to property tax, sanitation, water bills, and more on-site. He urged the officials present to accelerate the complaint resolution process to enhance citizen services.

During the review of property tax complaints, the MCG Chief instructed the zonal taxation officers to ensure that objections regarding data corrections are not left unresolved for extended periods.

Moreover, he emphasized that these objections should neither be dismissed nor rejected without a valid justification. He reiterated that any negligence would be unacceptable.
