New Delhi, Sep 16 (NationPress) In honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on Wednesday (September 17), leaders from the Delhi BJP are set to partake in special prayers at Jhandewalan Mandir to wish for his long and prosperous life, as confirmed by a party representative.
The ‘Shri Shatchandi Path’ will take place at 11 a.m. within the temple’s prayer hall, as detailed in an invitation issued by the Delhi BJP on Tuesday.
This occasion is being organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti (Dharam Samaj) in partnership with the Jhandewalan Devi Mandir Trust, according to the BJP's announcement.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva also shared a comprehensive schedule of 17 initiatives, which include cleanliness campaigns and blood donation drives, all set to commence during a two-week public service campaign starting September 17, coinciding with PM Modi’s birthday.
Addressing the press, Sachdeva revealed a list of coordinators designated for the various events planned over the fortnight.
Sachdeva emphasized that the Delhi BJP aims to execute 17 diverse programs throughout this period, engaging members from local to state levels to commemorate the Prime Minister’s birthday.
In addition to the organized activities, BJP leaders and volunteers will also engage in initiatives set up by the Delhi government.
He mentioned that coordination committees have been formed for each event, with State General Secretary Vishnu Mittal overseeing the entire campaign at the state level.
The co-coordinators for this initiative include Dinesh Pratap Singh, Sona Kumari, Satyanarayan Gautam, and Rajkumar Chautala.
The 17 activities, starting with a cleanliness drive on September 17, encompass: cleanliness campaigns; tree planting; blood donation camps; health check-up camps; a documentary on the Prime Minister’s life; outreach to intellectuals; distribution of selected books about the Prime Minister; honoring Divyang and other distinguished individuals; promoting Vocal for Local; MP-level sports competitions; ‘Viksit Bharat’ painting contests; the Modi Development Marathon; exhibitions focused on the Prime Minister’s life; celebrations for Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Jayanti; tributes for Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti; a campaign for the Namo App and social media outreach; and discussions on GST reform.
Sachdeva stated that this two-week initiative will involve individuals from all walks of life, with over 1 lakh BJP workers committed to ensuring its success.
The Delhi government is also set to unveil 75 public welfare projects and initiatives during a ‘Seva Pakhwada’ to mark the fortnight-long celebration of PM Modi’s birthday, running from September 17 to October 2.
