New Delhi, Sep 29 (NationPress) Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has established an expert committee to manage the process of selecting an official logo for Delhi, aiming to encapsulate the city’s distinctive identity, vibrant history, diverse culture, advancement, and the dreams of its citizens, as confirmed by an official statement on Monday.
This initiative marks the inaugural creation of an official logo for the National Capital Territory, the official stated.
“The project is currently in progress, and CM Gupta has formed a committee of experts to supervise the selection of Delhi’s official logo,” the official elaborated.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the government has made special arrangements for the design and selection process of the logo.
A logo design competition was launched on the MyGov portal (mygov.in), with submissions closing on September 26. A remarkable total of 1,800 entries were submitted from all over the nation, she noted.
As per the Chief Minister, the expert committee, chaired by the Secretary of the Department of General Administration, will assess the entries and determine the final design.
The committee comprises specialists from various universities, with the Joint Secretary of the Department of General Administration serving as the Member Secretary.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this logo will act as a new emblem of Delhi’s unique identity. The government aims for it to embody the city’s modern, transparent, and citizen-centric governance.
This initiative aspires to position Delhi as a robust, recognizable brand that signifies democratic values, technological progress, and active citizen involvement, she stated.
Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the Delhi government’s initiatives to build housing for slum residents, enhance healthcare facilities, introduce electric buses, and cleanse the Yamuna.
Highlighting the Delhi BJP government’s commitment to meet public expectations after a 27-year hiatus from power, he noted that the vision of “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Delhi” can only be realized through a collaborative effort between the government and the party.
Charging Delhi BJP workers with ensuring that every citizen benefits from the GST reduction, PM Modi urged city BJP leaders to celebrate all festivals, promoting the city as ‘Mini-India’ and showcasing its cultural diversity.
“Fostering unity through the celebration of festivals from all states in Delhi is vital for patriotism,” he remarked.
He made these comments during the inauguration of the new building for the Delhi BJP.
