New Delhi, March 2 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with her cabinet, visited the Gopal Gosadan Harewali Gaushala in Bawana on Sunday to evaluate the facilities and tackle issues related to cow shelters.
During her visit, the Chief Minister took a decisive stance on making sure that the municipal corporation gets its due share of funds, pledging to learn from the errors of past administrations.
“We will not imitate the tactics of previous governments that failed to provide the municipal corporation with its rightful financial support. I will guarantee that the municipal corporation gets its share, allowing for uninterrupted operations at gaushalas (cow shelters),” CM Gupta stated, affirming her dedication to the cause.
She also commented on the nation’s development and the necessity of safeguarding traditions.
“India faced stagnation for many years. Even after 70 years of Independence, our country was in disrepair. What was cherished in our Sanatan Dharma was also overlooked. All pilgrimage sites, gaushalas, and the devotion we held for our Lord were, in some manner, disregarded. Following 2014, a new era began, reviving hope in those who believe in Sanatan,” the Chief Minister remarked, emphasizing the government's renewed commitment to religious and cultural preservation.
BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia also addressed the gathering, resonating with CM Gupta’s views and condemning the previous administration's treatment of cow shelters.
“It has been made evident how the Delhi government and the Delhi Municipal Corporation treated gaushalas unfairly in the past. She (CM Rekha Gupta) has requested the release of funds earmarked for gaushalas. I believe that this decision, as articulated by the Chief Minister of Delhi, will fortify these gaushalas,” he expressed, supporting the Chief Minister's resolve.
