In a significant initiative, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has declared that 40 cow shelters in the capital will be enhanced with comprehensive facilities. The effort aims to broaden the campaign promoting services, energy derived from cow dung, and hygiene.

During a fund distribution event at Chief Minister Jan Seva Sadan, Gupta stated, "The initial phase will concentrate on modernizing 10 goshalas, ensuring the care, protection, and support of our destitute Gau Mata."

In a social media update, the Chief Minister emphasized, "Today's event at Jan Seva Sadan reaffirmed our commitment to the service and protection of Gau Mata, alongside providing lease extension agreements and financial support for biogas infrastructure development to Delhi's goshalas."

Previously, while discussing the Budget, Gupta remarked, "Delhi was previously hindered but is now advancing with a refreshed governance strategy. Moving forward, the city will experience transformation over confrontation—performance over politics."

Gupta also mentioned that the Delhi government has started settling long-overdue payments related to athletes, welfare for economically disadvantaged groups, scholarships, awards, and the Kishori scheme. Payments totaling Rs 114 crore for SC, ST, and OBC students, along with Rs 538 crore for Delhi government institutions, have been cleared.

Additionally, she met with Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu to discuss critical infrastructure and development matters following the Budget's approval in the Assembly.
