New Delhi, Feb 19 (NationPress) Approximately 25,000 security personnel will be stationed in the central, north, and New Delhi regions for the oath-taking ceremony of the new chief minister at Ramlila Maidan on Thursday, according to a Delhi Police representative.

The event is projected to commence around noon at the expansive venue in the heart of the national capital. Prominent BJP leaders, including chief ministers from states governed by the party, are anticipated to be present.

“In excess of 25,000 police personnel and more than 15 companies of paramilitary forces will maintain a strict watch,” the officer stated on Wednesday. He emphasized that strong security measures will be implemented to uphold public order.

“As per the security blueprint, over 5,000 police officers, along with paramilitary forces, will be stationed in and around Ramlila Maidan. We have pinpointed more than 2,500 strategic locations for heavy deployment,” the officer further mentioned.

Ravindra Yadav, Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), noted that the Delhi Police has been preparing for this occasion for the past two days.

He also highlighted that traffic and parking management around the venue will pose challenges due to the anticipated influx of vehicles.

“Delhi Commissioner of Police Sanjay Arora inspected the venue this morning. He personally assessed the preparations. We are confident that we will manage the event without issues,” stated Special CP Yadav.

Another senior officer remarked that the Delhi Police is coordinating with additional security forces.

“Only authorized personnel will be permitted near the venue. A traffic management plan has also been developed,” he noted.

The police indicated that, along with other emergency response teams, numerous layers of barricades will be established to guarantee the safety and security of the dignitaries attending the ceremony.

According to police reports, commandos, quick reaction units, PCR vans, anti-sabotage teams, and SWAT units will be deployed at critical locations, while snipers will be positioned atop nearby high-rise buildings. Every corner will be monitored using AI-based facial recognition CCTV cameras.
