New Delhi, Sep 21 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, expressed on Sunday her commitment to enhance development while ensuring the preservation of the city's cultural heritage. She reaffirmed the government's dedication to actualize Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi' (Development along with preservation of heritage).
In her remarks to the press during an event at the Mehrauli Archaeology Park, she stated, "The monuments under the Delhi government are being revived and restored. Significant work has been undertaken today, particularly at the Mehrauli site where we are gathered."
According to Delhi Art, Culture and Languages Minister Kapil Mishra, two key programs were organized on this day. The first focused on heritage preservation. At the Mehrauli Archaeological Park, the government has revitalized the site, reinstated lighting, and developed it into a prime tourist destination.
Minister Mishra noted that it was uplifting to see numerous paintings featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi produced during the art camp.
"These artworks illustrate the deep connection of Gen-Z with PM Modi," he remarked.
"The second program showcased creations by local artists and students, who crafted beautiful paintings about India and the Prime Minister, which are currently on display here," he added, emphasizing the optimistic perspectives of Gen-Z captured through art.
The Viksit Bharat Art Camp - Seva Pakhwara, a colorful celebration of creativity and culture, featured 75 artworks by both young and renowned artists. A cultural event titled 'Anekta Me Ekta' was also presented by Sahitya Kala Parishad.
Mishra mentioned that in addition to activities at Mehrauli, the Delhi government has arranged for an exhibition launch at Bara Lao Ka Gumbad, Vasant Udyan, DDA Vasant Vihar.
A special cultural evening is planned, featuring folk dances, cultural performances, an exhibition, and insightful speeches by dignitaries.
Previously, the Delhi government initiated a 15-day 'Seva Pakhwada' from September 17 to October 2 to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. During this time, the government aims to launch 75 projects worth crores of rupees, accelerating the city's progress, enhancing public convenience, and paving the way to establish Viksit Delhi.
