New Delhi, June 20 (NationPress) The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is set to commemorate International Yoga Day (IYD) 2025 this Saturday at eight remarkable venues, including Lodhi Garden and Shantipath, according to the Vice Chairperson of the civic agency, Kuljeet Singh Chahal.

On Friday, Chahal conducted an inspection of these venues to evaluate the preparations on the ground. He noted that the main events for yoga day will take place at Kartavya Path (South Lawn), Lodhi Garden, Talkatora Garden, Lawn at Shantipath, Central Park (Connaught Place), Pandara Park, New Moti Bagh (IAS Residences), and Sanjay Jheel (Lakshmi Bai Nagar).

During his visit, he assessed various factors, including logistical arrangements, venue readiness, signage, participation planning, and collaboration with yoga partner organizations.

Chahal highlighted that this initiative aligns with NDMC’s larger commitment to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, where health and wellness are key to achieving national objectives.

The sessions will be organized in collaboration with notable yoga organizations, including the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Art of Living, Patanjali Yoga Samiti, and Gayatri Parivar, among others.
