These organisations include schools, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), corporations, NGOs, and governmental entities.
“This impressive level of participation demonstrates a nationwide commitment to Yoga as more than a practice; it embodies a movement towards mindful living, community resilience, and national well-being,” stated the Ayush Ministry.
On June 21, over one lakh locations nationwide will transform into lively spaces of wellness, each resonating with the essence of India's ancient wisdom alongside its modern determination to lead in holistic health.
The IDY celebrations will be conducted from the picturesque snow-capped mountains of Ladakh to the sunlit shores of Kerala, encompassing school playgrounds, office lawns, railway stations, and historic temple courtyards.
The Ministry highlighted that these events will be monitored online via a platform on the yoga portal, allowing interested organisations to submit their proposals to host an IDY event.
“The enthusiastic involvement of prestigious institutions such as IITs, IIMs, and Central Universities has revitalized this movement. These centers of academic excellence are not just facilitating large-scale Yoga demonstrations but are also advocating Yoga as a means for mental clarity, emotional resilience, and leadership development,” the Ministry added.
