New Delhi, May 27 (NationPress) More than 10,000 organisations throughout the nation have signed up for Yoga Sangam following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent appeal during his Mann Ki Baat to encourage corporate participation in this initiative.

Yoga Sangam is set to be a nationwide event that aims to become India's most significant wellness celebration on International Yoga Day on June 21.

In the 122nd episode of Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi praised the increasing incorporation of Yoga within India's corporate sector, viewing it as a strong sign of the private sector's dedication to national wellness.

“Our corporates are stepping up. Certain institutions have dedicated spaces for yoga within their offices, while some start-ups are implementing ‘office yoga hours’. This reflects how the private sector is actively engaging in the nation’s health movement,” said the Prime Minister during his address.

“In response to this call, over 10,000 organisations have signed up for Yoga Sangam,” stated the Ayush Ministry.

The Yoga Sangam will take place at over 100,000 locations across India, ranging from the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas to sun-drenched coastal temples.

“Participants will engage in stretching, breathing, and moving in unison, showcasing India’s timeless contribution to the globe: Yoga as a source of unity, health, and inner peace,” the Ministry noted.

This year also marks a decade since the United Nations officially recognized International Day of Yoga in 2015.

As the nation celebrates ten years of global leadership in wellness, the theme for 2025, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” carries a profound significance.

To take part, citizens can visit the Ayush Ministry website to register as a group or organisation.

After the Yoga Sangam event on June 21, participants can upload their participation details to obtain an official Certificate of Appreciation.
