Delhi L-G Elegantly Critiques CM Atishi’s Inconsistency on Assembly Session

New Delhi, Dec 19 (NationPress) In a subtly crafted poetic address to Chief Minister Atishi, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena shared insights regarding the government’s inconsistency in convening an Assembly session. He remarked that one should not shy away from “making a decision, no matter how challenging it may be”.
Displaying his poetic flair during a college event, Saxena stated, “Bade nirnay lete waqt darna galat nahin hai, lekin dar ke mare bade nirnay na lena galat hai” (It’s not wrong to fear when making a decision, but it is wrong to not make a significant decision out of fear).
While addressing the 11th Convocation of Delhi Technological University (DTU), L-G Saxena urged students to embrace tough decisions and encouraged them to dream ambitiously.
His commentary on decisive actions arose in the context of the Delhi High Court and Raj Niwas urging CM Atishi to promptly decide on summoning an Assembly session to present the 14 CAG reports.
The CAG reports are anticipated to contain unfavorable critiques regarding the Arvind Kejriwal administration’s excise policy and pollution control initiatives. Political analysts speculate that these negative findings will be disclosed to the public once presented in the Assembly, providing additional leverage to opposition parties ahead of the Assembly elections in February.
Saxena, also the Chancellor of DTU, reminded graduating students how the esteemed institution has nurtured their foundations, equipping them to endure challenges in the external world. He called upon them to be exemplars of innovation and distinct accomplishments, stating, “All significant achievements in the world were made possible because someone dared to dream.”
“You are on the brink of crafting your own legacy. If you aspire to soar high, be ready to elevate yourself. I encourage all of you to fortify your knowledge and skills daily, enabling you to soar to great heights in your forthcoming professional journeys,” he expressed.
In another couplet, the L-G shared, “Aaye ho nibhaney jab kirdar zamin par, kuch aiysa kar chalo ki zamana yaad rakhe” (When you arrive on this earth to play a role, do something that the world will remember).
“Fortunate are those who encounter opportunities, brilliant are those who create them, but the true victors are those who capitalize on them,” he said, inspiring the DTU graduates to advance the technological development of society and the nation.
The L-G acknowledged the improvement in DTU’s ranking, which ranked 27th among engineering institutes nationwide according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
He also noted that in the academic year 2023-24, 360 companies recruited from the DTU campus, offering over 2,000 positions to students.
