New Delhi, March 21 (NationPress) BJP National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh, remarked on the visible frustration of defeated leaders in Delhi, emphasizing the positive changes occurring in the city under BJP governance.

In a conversation with IANS, he noted the evident bitterness of the defeated, dejected leaders, especially from the Opposition, who struggle to accept Delhi's advancements.

“The frustration of Delhi's defeated leaders is apparent. Their arrogance remains unchanged. Currently, in Delhi, the 'Aarti' of Yamuna ji is taking place, and pollution levels have seen improvement,” Chugh stated.

He highlighted that numerous initiatives are being introduced under BJP leadership to enhance the city's condition.

“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, the Delhi BJP government is tirelessly working to uplift the lives of its citizens. The air quality in Delhi has improved, and funds from the 'Samman Nidhi' have benefited millions of daughters in the city,” he added.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj took a jab at the BJP, asserting that the ruling party is now experiencing “its own medicine” after Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta raised concerns with Chief Secretary Dharmendra regarding officials neglecting communications from elected MLAs.

Bharadwaj accused the BJP-led central government of shifting Delhi from “a democracy to a bureaucracy” over the past decade, resulting in a scenario where bureaucracy undermines elected officials.

Chugh directly addressed Saurabh Bharadwaj, stating, “Bharadwaj ji, please manage your party. I understand your frustration and despair, which is why these fabricated stories are surfacing. The bitterness of Delhi’s defeated, dejected, and frustrated leaders is evident. They cannot accept the progress occurring in Delhi. They are unable to acknowledge the improvements under our leadership.”

Chugh advised the Opposition to refrain from viewing Delhi through the lens of “disaster” as portrayed by Arvind Kejriwal, adding, “Delhi's transformation is evident in just one month.”

Chugh also discussed the government's ongoing effort against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, asserting that ensuring citizens' safety is a top priority for the Modi government.

“Our government is persistently advancing with a zero-tolerance policy against Naxalism. Despite our attempts to encourage surrender and inclusion, these Naxals continue their attacks and killings. Over the past year, 113 notorious Naxals have been neutralized. We remain steadfast in our commitment to eliminate Naxalism,” he expressed.

He commended Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his leadership, stating, “I extend my best wishes and congratulate Amit Shah for his efforts in ensuring citizen safety. By March 31, 2026, we are confident that India will be free from Naxalism.”
