New Delhi, Feb 14 (NationPress) As the CBSE Board Examinations 2025 for Classes 10 and 12 are set to take place from February 15 to April 4, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that students will receive priority during security screenings and ticket purchases at metro stations, according to an official statement released on Friday.
With around 3.30 lakh students and numerous school staff traveling throughout the city, the DMRC, in collaboration with the CISF, is rolling out special measures at metro stations to manage the increased passenger volume on exam days.
Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director of Corporate Communications at Delhi Metro, indicated that students displaying their admit cards will be prioritized when buying tickets at Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care (CC) centers.
Dayal encouraged students to plan their journeys ahead of time and recommended visiting the DMRC official website (www.delhimetrorail.com) and DMRC Momentum for travel planning assistance.
The DMRC team has engaged with schools, conversing with principals to inform them about nearby metro stations and the support available for students.
Additionally, the DMRC has asked schools to post information about the nearest metro stations along with a QR code for convenient ticket booking, aiding students in their travel arrangements.
Dayal mentioned that centralized announcements will be made at metro stations to assist and direct students.
A comprehensive list of metro stations located near examination centers has been made available on the DMRC website and official mobile application for easy access, he noted.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will initiate the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2025 on Saturday. This year, approximately 42 lakh students are anticipated to participate in the exams across 7,842 centers in India and 26 countries internationally.
To ensure the exams run smoothly, the CBSE conducted a live webcast on its official YouTube channel. This session provided essential guidelines for center superintendents, deputy superintendents, assistant superintendents, city coordinators, and observers, covering evaluation protocols and the duties of all involved personnel.
CBSE experts emphasized that students attending the exams must remember to bring their admit cards along with their school ID cards.
