New Delhi, Jan 22 (NationPress) In a significant move to enhance educational facilities, Delhi L-G V.K. Saxena inaugurated the fifth Aarambh library in Vikaspuri and revealed column fountains at major road intersections in Dwarka Sub-City on Thursday.
The Vikaspuri library is the latest addition to the Aarambh initiative, designed to operate 24×7 and accommodate over 180 students daily across three eight-hour shifts, according to a representative from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
This facility aims to offer students in West Delhi a dedicated and cost-effective space for concentrated study.
Equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, the library features seamless Wi-Fi, modular study desks, secure lockers, CCTV monitoring, and a dedicated cafeteria.
The L-G emphasized that Delhi is a premier educational hub, attracting students nationwide to build their futures. “The Aarambh initiative seeks to provide top-quality infrastructure at affordable rates,” he noted.
“This is a commendable initiative, and I applaud the DDA for their efforts. It serves students with limited resources, and we will persist in fostering overall youth development as they represent our nation's future,” he remarked.
At the fountain inauguration in Dwarka, the L-G stated, “We are dedicated to the holistic growth of our national capital, addressing its increasing urban needs and planning in accordance with the residents' requirements.”
The newly launched column fountains blend contemporary aesthetics with environmental awareness. Standing at 2.8 meters tall and situated within a 4.5-meter-diameter sandstone basin made from Teak and Rainbow sandstone, these fountains feature elegant column structures that act as stunning visual landmarks during the day, as described by the DDA.
As dusk approaches, dynamic LED lighting transforms these installations into vibrant focal points, enhancing the urban landscape. Accompanied by carefully curated floral landscaping, these water features not only enhance beauty but also enrich the aesthetic experience, according to the DDA.
