Development of Women and Children Takes Center Stage at Udaipur Conference Starting January 10

New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) The challenges associated with advancing the development and welfare of women and children will be prioritized during a three-day Chintan Shivir scheduled from January 10 to 12 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
This significant event will assemble important stakeholders, including esteemed dignitaries and high-ranking officials from both the Central and State Governments, to lay the groundwork for impactful policy decisions and effective execution of welfare initiatives, ensuring a brighter future for the nation's most vulnerable groups, as stated in an official announcement on Thursday.
The event will be inaugurated by Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, with Savitri Thakur, the Minister of State for Women and Child Development (WCD), providing updates on ongoing initiatives.
Participation will also include Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and various ministers from the WCD Departments of States and Union Territories.
Sessions during the event will concentrate on the Ministry's significant initiatives such as Mission Vatsalya, Mission Shakti, and Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0.
These discussions aim to tackle crucial issues and outline a path forward for enhancing the welfare of women and the development of children across India.
Minister Annapurna Devi will emphasize the government's dedication to the well-being of women and children through the Ministry's key initiatives.
The event will also showcase presentations of best practices from different States and Union Territories, focusing on successful strategies aimed at addressing the challenges faced by women and children, along with dialogues on how to scale up these practices for improved service delivery to beneficiaries.
The Shivir will encourage open dialogues with State/UT representatives, providing a platform to discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and engage in collaborative problem-solving to ensure that ongoing programmes effectively meet the requirements of the targeted demographics.
Key topics will include Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0: Strengthening Anganwadi Centres to serve as hubs for nutrition, education, health, and awareness services. Mission Vatsalya: Enhancing child welfare through improved childcare institutions, foster care, adoption, and aftercare. Mission Shakti: Tackling issues like women’s safety, child marriage, and leveraging technology to empower women, particularly through the SHe-Box portal.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Rajasthan government are jointly hosting this noteworthy event.
