Key Takeaways
Bhopal, Dec 15 (NationPress) A total of 24 families from the 89 families displaced due to the establishment of India's inaugural PM MITRA Park in Bhainsola village, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, have successfully been allocated new homes in the initial phase.
As for the remaining 65 families, they are scheduled to receive housing in subsequent phases under the rehabilitation initiative, aimed at enhancing their standard of living, as stated by the state government on Monday.
The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is working on establishing a meticulously designed residential community nearby for the resettlement of the 89 families currently residing on the designated land for the PM MITRA Park.
The ongoing rehabilitation colony for the PM MITRA Park will encompass a total of 89 permanent 2-BHK homes and 140 developed plots. The rehabilitation project, which is valued at Rs 13.48 crore, is expected to be finalized by April 2026, according to MPIDC.
In line with the state government's policy, industrial advancement is being pursued while prioritizing the welfare of every affected family.
Thus, special focus has been directed not only towards providing housing for families impacted by the PM MITRA Park but also towards improving their overall quality of life, as noted by the department.
The colony will be equipped with essential amenities such as electricity, piped drinking water, roads, drainage, and a sewage treatment plant. The estimated cost for each house stands around Rs 6 lakh.
Furthermore, facilities like an Anganwadi center, a primary school, parks, and a community building are also being developed. For security, the entirety of the campus is enclosed by a boundary wall.
The project is anticipated to be completed by April 2026, after which housing will be distributed to all remaining beneficiaries in a phased approach. The 140 developed plots will be utilized for future rehabilitation needs.
It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for India's first Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar district on September 17.
