Dhar, Sep 17 (NationPress) On the significant milestone of his 75th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated a groundbreaking industrial project in Bhainsola, located in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, by laying the foundation stone for the PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park.
This pivotal initiative is poised to reshape the landscape of India's textile sector and rejuvenate the Swadeshi movement with fresh enthusiasm.
A textile park, akin to any industrial zone, aims to provide shared infrastructure, alleviating the financial strain on individual investors.
The PM MITRA Park in Dhar will comprise 81 plug-and-play factory units, a 20 MLD common effluent treatment plant, and a 10 MVA solar power facility.
Investors will enjoy competitively priced water and electricity, while warehousing zones, container truck parking, and modern road networks will enhance logistics.
A dedicated 30-acre zone has been allocated for foreign investors, with land being offered at highly subsidized rates. These extensive facilities are typically unattainable for standalone manufacturers, as constructing them independently can make operations economically unsustainable.
Speaking to a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters, Prime Minister Modi declared, "Today marks a significant industrial milestone in Madhya Pradesh. The PM Mitra Park will infuse new energy into India's textile industry. This park will establish a new identity for the state's textile and clothing sector, create employment opportunities for thousands of young people, and assist farmers in obtaining fair prices for their produce."
The Dhar PM MITRA Park is the first of seven such parks approved nationwide, aimed at positioning India as a global textile leader.
Spanning 2,158 acres in Bhainsola village, the park is meticulously crafted to cover the entire textile value chain—from spinning and weaving to dyeing, processing, and garment manufacturing. Its investor-focused infrastructure and forward-thinking policy framework are designed to attract both domestic and international textile businesses.
Chief Minister Yadav, who was present at the event, praised the initiative as a historic advantage for the state.
"The Prime Minister has bestowed upon Madhya Pradesh the PM Mitra Park, which will unlock new avenues of prosperity for the cotton-producing farmers of Malwa-Nimar," he stated. "Through this park, Madhya Pradesh will emerge as a global textile hub," PM Modi remarked.
