Kolkata, Oct 11 (NationPress) A young man was taken into custody in the port area of Kolkata on Saturday, accused of sexually assaulting a differently-abled woman, according to police reports.
A formal complaint was lodged at Nadial Police Station under the Port Division late Friday night.
The police promptly initiated an investigation and apprehended the suspect early Saturday morning, stated an official from the Kolkata Police.
"A police complaint regarding the incident was submitted around midnight on Friday at Nadial Police Station. Based on this complaint, an FIR was filed, and the investigation commenced immediately. Within hours, the suspect was arrested on Saturday morning," the official detailed.
