New Delhi, March 3 (NationPress) Travelers returning from Dubai amidst the persistent tensions in the Middle East have reported that, while life in Dubai continues to feel normal, apprehensions regarding regional events, especially those related to Iran, have led them to opt for a return to India as a safety precaution.

In an interview with IANS in Delhi, one traveler stated, “Life is normal here, and we haven’t experienced anything out of the ordinary. However, given the sporadic actions occurring nearby, we think it’s wiser to return home and ensure our safety.”

Another traveler shared that flight services, which had faced temporary interruptions, are slowly returning to normal.

“Flights have gradually picked up again, so things seem more stable now. Some flights even landed yesterday, but the situation remains tense due to Iran. We are very grateful for the support from the UAE. The conditions at Dubai International Airport were quite poor on February 28, but they have improved significantly since then,” the traveler remarked.

Expressing appreciation for the Indian authorities' support, another traveler mentioned, “I contacted the Indian Embassy in Dubai, and they were very helpful, taking my details and providing prompt assistance.”

Reflecting on the atmosphere in Dubai, a passenger noted that daily life has largely persisted without major interruptions. “Everything is functioning normally. People are moving about, and life continues as usual. There were just a couple of days when we heard explosions, which frightened the children, prompting us to return,” the passenger recounted.

Another individual shared that they had traveled to Dubai a week prior for a family gathering and successfully returned.

“We went there a week ago for a family event. I feel fortunate and grateful. Being a resident, I was familiar with the route and managed to return independently,” she said.

In light of the ongoing geopolitical tensions, many travelers are keeping a close watch on developments, with authorities issuing advisories and providing support for Indian nationals abroad.

Point of View
