New Delhi, Nov 16 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has published its 3:00 PM Daily Bulletin for November 16, revealing nearly complete advancements in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Phase II of electoral rolls.
As per the bulletin, all 12 participating States and Union Territories have completed 100 per cent printing of elector-specific Enumeration Forms (EFs), while the overall distribution has surpassed 97.5 per cent.
The SIR Phase II, which is active from November 4 to December 4, 2025, includes door-to-door verification and updating of voter information facilitated by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) assigned by recognized political parties.
Out of the 50.99 crore electors involved in this phase, the ECI has reported that 50.97 crore forms (99.95 per cent) have been printed, with 49.73 crore (97.52 per cent) already distributed to voters.
Among the States, Goa, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh demonstrated exceptional execution, attaining close to or full 100 per cent distribution.
Goa and Lakshadweep achieved total success, delivering every printed form.
Larger states like Uttar Pradesh (97.64 per cent) reported distribution of 15.7 crore printed EFs, while Madhya Pradesh (99.45 per cent) distributed 5.74 crore printed EFs, showcasing strong performance despite extensive elector bases.
Conversely, some States reported slightly lower distribution percentages, including Kerala (93.72 per cent), Tamil Nadu (93.67 per cent), and Puducherry (94.10 per cent).
The bulletin also emphasized that all recognized political parties have been encouraged to appoint additional Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to enhance transparency during household verification, particularly in high-density constituencies.
The Commission highlighted the significant mobilization of 5.33 lakh BLOs and 10.41 lakh BLAs, which underscores its dedication to maintaining updated electoral rolls ahead of forthcoming polls in various States.
With less than three weeks remaining in the enumeration period, the ECI is anticipated to intensify efforts in underperforming regions to guarantee that the final electoral rolls are thoroughly updated.
