New Delhi, Nov 20 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced remarkable advancements in Phase II of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025, achieving near-complete distribution of Enumeration Forms (EFs) across 12 states and Union Territories.
As per the Daily Bulletin released at 3:00 PM on Thursday, the nationwide EF distribution has climbed to 98.89 percent, showcasing robust field mobilization by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and active involvement from Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
The enumeration phase, which is underway from November 4 to December 4, has seen a total of 50.40 crore EFs distributed out of a potential 50.97 crore electors.
However, digitization is lagging behind, with only 10.28 crore forms digitized so far, resulting in an overall digitization rate of 20.19 percent.
Goa and Lakshadweep achieved a flawless 100 percent distribution of EFs, closely followed by Gujarat at 99.62 percent and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at 99.98 percent.
In terms of distribution, Uttar Pradesh, the largest state by electorate size, has reached 99.56 percent, encompassing over 15.37 crore electors.
On the lower end, Puducherry has recorded 94.81 percent, Tamil Nadu at 95.39 percent, and Kerala at 97.06 percent for EF distribution.
Regarding digitization, Goa leads with 54.08 percent, followed by Lakshadweep at 46.06 percent and Rajasthan at 47.52 percent.
Unfortunately, Kerala has the lowest digitization progress recorded at merely 3.39 percent.
Despite its high distribution rates, Uttar Pradesh has only digitized 6.14 percent of its EFs.
The Commission has urged recognized political parties to appoint additional Booth Level Agents to expedite the verification and digitization process.
Furthermore, the ECI noted that figures from Rajasthan do not include the Anta Assembly constituency due to a deferred revision caused by a by-election.
As the revision process moves toward its December 4 deadline, the ECI will continue to publish regular bulletins.
