New Delhi, Dec 6 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Saturday its latest bulletin for the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, indicating remarkable progress in the distribution and digitisation of Elector-specific Enumeration Forms (EFs) across 12 States and Union Territories.

The enumeration initiative commenced on November 4 and is scheduled to continue until December 11.

As outlined in the bulletin, both the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Goa have reached 100% coverage in the distribution of EFs, while Goa and Lakshadweep have achieved 100% digitisation. Lakshadweep has successfully digitised all 57,813 forms, and Rajasthan has also digitised a total of 5,46,55,375 Enumeration Forms. Goa's digitisation stands at 11,82,034 forms, reflecting a near-total completion rate of 99.75%.

Among the larger States, West Bengal has distributed 99.97% of forms and digitised 7,61,96,871 (99.43%). Chhattisgarh has distributed 99.98% and digitised 2,11,59,317 forms (99.66%). Madhya Pradesh reported a distribution rate of 99.99% and digitisation of 99.66%, with 5,72,10,271 forms processed.

Tamil Nadu, with an electorate exceeding 6.41 crore, recorded a distribution rate of 99.86% and a digitisation rate of 98.69%. Gujarat achieved 99.94% distribution with 98% digitisation, while Kerala stands at 99.58% distribution and 96.32% digitisation.

Uttar Pradesh, the state with the largest electorate of over 15.44 crore, has distributed 99.93% of forms and digitised 14,20,43,814, reflecting a digitisation completion rate of 94.04%, which is the lowest among major states.

In total, across the 12 States and UTs mentioned in the bulletin, 50,93,62,185 forms have been distributed (99.93%) and 49,69,38,877 forms have been digitised (97.49%) thus far.

The ECI highlighted that the figures for Rajasthan do not include the 193-Anta Assembly constituency, where the revision process has been postponed due to a by-election. Enumeration in Anta is set to commence on December 8.

Political parties recognized by the ECI have been encouraged to appoint additional Booth Level Agents to aid in the enumeration process. For Kerala, the deadline for submitting Enumeration Forms is December 18.
