Vasai (Maharashtra), June 16 (NationPress) – As the local and civic body elections approach, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the 'BJP JanSampark Karyalay' for MLA Sneha Dubey Pandit in Vasai on Monday. He emphasized that, similar to the transformative wave seen in the Assembly elections, a parallel achievement is necessary in the municipal elections.

He asserted, "The key to the advancement of Palghar district and the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation lies in effective governance through the municipal corporation. It is crucial to mobilize our efforts with strength, unity, and determination to bring about the long-awaited changes that the residents of this area truly deserve. To create the Vasai of our aspirations, let's secure victories where it counts," he urged, motivating BJP members to push for success in the upcoming civic and local elections.

Fadnavis further commented, “These outreach centers are essential in reinforcing the relationship between elected officials and the community. Every BJP MLA should actively connect with the populace through these offices, making them platforms where citizen voices are amplified, grievances addressed, and justice served. Under Sneha Tai’s leadership, this office is expected to meet its responsibilities with genuine commitment and integrity.”

Discussing the political and administrative significance of Palghar district and Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation, the Chief Minister remarked that they have become critical extensions of Mumbai's expanding urban environment. The population has surged in recent years, but unfortunately, civic amenities have lagged behind.

“Proactive urban management and planning could have positioned this region as a well-organized municipal corporation, similar to those surrounding Mumbai,” he pointed out.

“Vasai, steeped in history and the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the Maratha Empire, is at a pivotal moment where significant, planned development is imperative. Under Sneha Tai’s visionary leadership, earnest efforts must be made to resolve the backlog of the past 20 years within a span of 5 years, ensuring that overdue issues are finally tackled,” he added.

The presence of the Chief Minister at the inauguration of Sneha Dubey Pandit’s BJP 'JanSampark Karyalay' sends a strong message to party leaders and workers that the BJP must enhance its outreach to voters to solidify its position in the Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation, which has been governed by the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi under former legislator Hitendra Thakur.

It is noteworthy that Thakur, a six-time legislator, was defeated by Sneha Dubey Pandit in the last assembly elections. The Bahujan Vikas Aghadi also lost two additional seats in Nalasopara and Boisar during the same elections, marking a significant loss of three seats in its traditional stronghold of Vasai over three decades.
