One survivor, Lokesh Dwivedi, shared with police that his brother was at the wheel when the vehicle went out of control, collided with the divider, and fell into the gorge. "Everything went dark for a moment before I realized what had happened," Dwivedi recounted to the authorities.
The injured have been identified as Gopal Agarwal, Girdhar Agarwal, Shivanya Agarwal (a young girl), Krishivi Agarwal, and Lokesh Dwivedi.
Local residents and police quickly arrived at the scene to assist the victims, who were promptly transported to the District Hospital in Guna for urgent medical care. All are currently receiving treatment.
Following the report of the accident, Guna police arrived at the location to initiate rescue operations and an investigation.
A case of accidental death has been filed, with further inquiries underway to ascertain the precise cause of the mishap.
The incident has caused a wave of shock within the local community, particularly as the victims were returning from a holy pilgrimage.
