Bhopal, May 14 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has mandated the Director General of Police (DGP) to initiate an FIR against BJP leader and Tribal Affairs Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah for his controversial statements regarding Colonel Sofiya Qureshi.
In response to the situation, the High Court instructed DGP Kailash Makwana to file a case against Shah under sections 152, 196 1 (B), and 197 of the BNS.
Justice Atul Sridharan of the MP High Court observed that, on the surface, Minister Vijay Shah's comments constituted an offense aimed at inciting discord among various castes, religions, and languages. He emphasized that referring to Colonel Sofiya Qureshi as a "sister of terrorists" is a violation that deeply offends the sentiments of the Muslim community.
Justice Sridharan instructed that the case against Minister Vijay Shah be registered by Wednesday evening.
