Fog-Related Incident: Multiple Vehicles Collide in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, Causing Injuries

Jaipur, Jan 3 (NationPress) A significant accident took place on Friday in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, where more than six vehicles, including a sleeper bus, were involved in a collision due to thick fog, resulting in many injuries.
The incident occurred on the Kothari River bridge along the Ajmer National Highway, where several individuals found themselves trapped in their vehicles.
The chaos escalated when a CNG tanker began leaking, instigating widespread fear among bystanders. Police quickly responded to the scene after being notified about the mishap. Emergency medical services transported the injured to the nearest hospitals.
Officials reported that the accident happened on the Kothari River culvert in the morning hours, where the dense fog significantly hindered visibility, leading to a chain reaction of collisions. Numerous individuals were injured and required hospital care.
This incident resulted in a substantial traffic jam extending approximately 1.5 kilometers on both sides of the highway. Long lines of vehicles formed, causing major delays for commuters. The police worked diligently to alleviate the congestion and restore normal traffic conditions.
Around 9 a.m., visibility was severely compromised, leading to an initial collision between two trucks on the culvert. Following this, multiple vehicles became entangled in a series of subsequent collisions.
Amidst the turmoil, a CNG tanker became caught in the wreckage, and the gas leak from it raised alarming concerns about a potential explosion, reminiscent of past incidents like Bhankrota. Fortunately, a major disaster was averted as individuals in the area hurried to safety.
The accident resulted in considerable damage to several vehicles, and many individuals sustained injuries. Authorities are actively investigating the incident and implementing relief measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
On December 20, a tragic accident involving an LPG tanker and a truck led to a massive fireball that transformed a section of the Jaipur-Ajmer highway into a scene of devastation, affecting over 40 vehicles.
