Four Associates of Terrorists Detained in Pulwama District, J&K

Srinagar, Jan 1 (NationPress) Four associates of terrorists were detained on Wednesday in the Tral region of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

According to police, four individuals linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist group were apprehended by security forces within the jurisdiction of the Awantipora police district, which falls under the Pulwama revenue district.

The detainees have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Naik, son of Farooq Ahmad Naik from Tral Payeen, Umar Nazir Sheikh, son of Najir Ahmad Sheikh from Kuchmulla, Inayat Firdoos Rather, son of Firdoos Ahmad Rather of Tral Payeen, and Salman Nazir Lone, son of Najir Ahmad Lone from Kounserbal Tral, as reported by police.

Authorities recovered incriminating materials associated with the banned terror organization JeM from their possession. It is significant to note that all apprehended individuals played a role in supplying logistics and transporting arms and ammunition to active terrorists affiliated with the JeM in the Tral and Awantipora regions of the Awantipora police district, added the police statement.

A case has been registered under FIR No.134/2024 at the Tral police station, and further investigations are underway, according to police.

Security forces have been intensively conducting operations against terrorists, their Over Ground Workers (OGWs), and sympathizers to dismantle the terror network in Jammu and Kashmir.

These operations are a response to recent violent attacks perpetrated by terrorists after peaceful Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections in J&K, which saw significant voter turnout.

Intelligence sources indicate that the successful conduct of elections in J&K, observed by diplomats from various countries, has infuriated the terror handlers operating from across the border in Pakistan.

Intelligence agencies report that these handlers have instructed terrorists in J&K to make a final attempt to revive fading terrorism in the region.
