From Laborer to Owner of a Transport Company - This BJP Leader is Known as 'Gold Man'

Ranchi, Dec 25 (NationPress) A man adorned with lavish gold jewelry drew significant attention during the event held at the Jharkhand BJP office in Ranchi on Wednesday, celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. His name is Thakur Manoj Singh, and he has recently gained fame as 'Gold Man'.

Transitioning from a laborer to an owner of a transport company and now a BJP leader, Manoj has truly traveled a remarkable journey. Three decades ago, he arrived in Mumbai as a laborer and is now recognized as one of the top businessmen in Maharashtra, employing around 500 individuals in his transport enterprise.

Thakur Manoj Singh hails from Kutlu, a small village in the Chauparan block of Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand. Due to financial difficulties, he relocated to Mumbai at the age of 18. After a few days of searching for work, he began his career as a laborer, carrying goods on his shoulders and using carts. Eventually, he secured a position at a transport company.

With the experience he gained, he founded his own small transport company in 2010, initially transporting goods from Mumbai to Rajkot. Within a few years, the company experienced significant growth and now operates with over 100 trucks. Manoj enjoys great popularity among the approximately 1.5 million residents of Jharkhand living in Mumbai and its vicinity.

In addition to his business endeavors, Manoj is politically active. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2014 and collaborated with then Education Minister and Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar. During this period, he proposed the establishment of the 'Jharkhand Cell' of the BJP in Maharashtra, which was accepted, leading to its formation on January 7, 2021, with Thakur Manoj Singh as its president.

Thakur Manoj Singh states that approximately 1.5 million individuals from Jharkhand reside in Mumbai and surrounding regions, and he is dedicated to fostering their unity.

He expresses that Jharkhand is his birthplace, while Maharashtra is his ‘karmabhoomi’. Every year, he organizes an event in Mumbai on behalf of the BJP's 'Jharkhand Cell', attended by senior leaders of the Jharkhand BJP.

Speaking about his passion for gold jewelry, Thakur Manoj Singh remarks, “Having experienced significant poverty in my childhood, I always aspired to achieve financial success through dedication and hard work. I feel blessed by God for my accomplishments, enabling me to live a worry-free lifestyle. My love for gold jewelry is immense.”
