From Pandemic Challenges to Prosperity: Archana Kushwaha's Factory Thrives with Government Support

Bettiah (Bihar), Dec 26 (NationPress) Archana Kushwaha is currently managing her own factory in Bihar's Bettiah with support from the state government. This factory provides employment for at least 25 individuals and focuses on manufacturing sarees, lehengas, and suits.
The finished products are distributed to various locations, including Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Siwan, Patna, and West Champaran.
Archana, who previously worked in a factory in Surat, has transformed her career and now owns a factory with an impressive annual turnover of several crores.
Reflecting on her journey, Archana shared her inspiring story with IANS.
She noted: "When the pandemic struck, all operations in Surat ceased, prompting us to return to Bihar. During our return journey, I pondered over how we could secure our livelihood. With the assistance of the local DM and the state government, we obtained a loan of Rs 25 lakh, which allowed us to establish our own enterprise. Today, we operate a factory that employs 25 people, producing lehengas, sarees, and suits."
"Our products are distributed throughout various regions in Bihar. Coming back to Bihar has been a remarkable experience, and this year our factory achieved a turnover of Rs 3 crore. I once worked in another factory in a different state, but now I am the proud owner of my own factory. I am grateful to the state and Central government for their support in helping me achieve this success."
It's important to highlight that Archana Kushwaha secured a loan of Rs 25 lakh through the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in 2020, facilitated by the district administration.
Utilizing this loan, she established a factory in Chanpatia for the production of sarees and lehengas. She systematically initiated operations, imported machinery, and has now reached this significant milestone. This is the story of how her previous challenges culminated in the establishment of her own factory.
