With an expected surge of lakhs of pilgrims during the Char Dham Yatra, he instructed officials to enhance supply systems and maintain sufficient stock levels throughout this period.
District officials raised concerns regarding operational hurdles, such as seasonal increases in LPG demand, heightened use of commercial cylinders due to weddings, transportation challenges, and the necessity for improved agency-level coordination. The secretary directed that these issues be swiftly addressed.
Oil company representatives reassured the administration of their commitment to adhering to supply standards and are actively working to resolve district-specific concerns. They also mentioned ongoing collaboration with local agencies to ensure seamless distribution.
The secretary further instructed oil companies to closely collaborate with gas agencies across all districts to guarantee timely deliveries and rapid resolution of any disruptions. District Supply Officers were tasked with continuous monitoring and immediate intervention as needed.
Particular attention was given to ensuring ample availability of fuel and LPG along key travel routes and major stops during the Char Dham Yatra, to prevent any difficulties for pilgrims and tourists.
Senior officials, including Additional Commissioner Food P S Pangtey and other department representatives, were also in attendance at the meeting.
