Chandigarh, May 14 (NationPress) A delegation from Germany met with Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday to discuss updates regarding an automobile component manufacturing facility located in the Jhajjar district.
During their discussions, the delegation revealed their strong desire to broaden their investment in Haryana, highlighting the state’s favorable industrial policies and the government's proactive assistance. Poppe+Potthoff, which operates in nearly 80 countries, is also considering the establishment of a new R&D center in Haryana and aims to create a structured system to employ skilled individuals from the state to fulfill both global and domestic demands, as stated by the government.
While engaging with the delegation, led by Markus Kerkhoff, Group CEO of Poppe+Potthoff GmbH, CM Saini remarked that the government is committed to empowering the youth through top-tier skill development programs. He emphasized that the state is actively aligning its training initiatives with international industry standards to ensure the workforce possesses the latest technical knowledge and practical skills.
CM Saini also encouraged the delegation to recognize and capitalize on the vast potential of Haryana’s talented youth by providing them with meaningful job opportunities. He mentioned that the government is facilitating strong collaborations between industries and educational institutions, particularly technical ones, to create a system that prepares the youth for both local and global job markets.
In addition, State Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh announced that the government is working on the development of 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs). A new industrial policy will be introduced soon, with CM Saini prioritizing the industrial sector in the budget, which has seen a 126 percent increase, allocating a total of Rs 1,848 crore for this fiscal year.
