New Delhi, Sep 22 (NationPress) The economic strategy of India is set to gain further momentum under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with initiatives like the GST reduction, asserted BJP National President J.P. Nadda on Monday.
During his visit to shopkeepers in south Delhi’s Amar Colony on the inaugural day of the new tax framework, J.P. Nadda encouraged shopkeepers to extend the advantages of the lower GST to consumers and to prioritize the sale of Swadeshi products.
Accompanied by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Nadda informed the media: “Shopkeepers in Amar Colony expressed their appreciation to Prime Minister Modi for the GST rate cut and committed to adhere to his appeal for promoting Indian products.”
“I extend my gratitude to PM Modi and wish congratulations to millions of consumers as we celebrate Navratri, especially for the GST reduction,” he stated.
Nadda noted that the upcoming festive season will witness celebrations for Dussehra, Bhaiduj, Dhanteras, Deepawali, and Chhath Mai, with countless worshippers shopping and benefiting from the GST cut amounting to crores of rupees.
The BJP National President conveyed PM Modi’s message during his meeting with shopkeepers at the Ladies Suits Market in Amar Colony and congratulated them on the rollout of the new GST reforms.
Shopkeepers welcomed PM Modi’s initiative and assured their commitment to implementing it in its true essence to benefit consumers, Nadda mentioned.
“I urged shopkeepers to offer only Swadeshi items crafted by the labor of Indian youth, ensuring they are 100% Indian,” he added.
Delhi BJP President Sachdeva praised the introduction of next-generation GST reforms by PM Modi’s administration, describing it as a significant gift to the populace and traders of Delhi on the inaugural day of Navratri.
Sachdeva noted that these reforms will not only reduce prices of essential goods for the public but also empower traders to reinvest in their businesses while circumventing complicated legal challenges associated with taxation.
He remarked that ahead of the festive season, PM Modi’s decision stands as a “Festival of Savings” for the people of Delhi. This initiative is set to benefit everyone—including traders, shopkeepers, the underprivileged, middle-class families, youth, farmers, women, and entrepreneurs.
Sachdeva encouraged the citizens of Delhi to support local products and purchase Made-in-India goods this festive season to further the mission of making India self-reliant.
