In the subsequent 2022 Assembly elections, Parmar successfully defended his seat as the BJP candidate, defeating Jayant Patel from the Nationalist Congress Party by a significant margin of 26,717 votes, having secured 95,639 votes.
Prior to Parmar’s victories, the Umreth Assembly constituency had seen frequent changes in party allegiance, making it a challenging seat to retain.
In response to the news, state BJP President and MLA Jagdish Vishwakarma expressed his sorrow over Parmar’s death.
