Anand, March 6 (NationPress) Govind Parmar, a prominent member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the elected MLA for the Umreth constituency in Gujarat’s Anand district, passed away on Friday while receiving medical care at a hospital. He was aged 82. As per reports from party officials, Parmar had been suffering from health issues and succumbed to them at the Anand hospital.

The announcement of his demise elicited a wave of condolences from political figures and BJP supporters statewide, especially in the Anand district and the Umreth area he represented in the Gujarat Assembly.

Born in 1943, he hailed from humble beginnings and was recognized as a grassroots political leader with deep connections to the rural populace in the Charotar region.
