Gurugram: Man Murdered by Brother-in-Law, Arrests Made

Gurugram, Dec 3 (NationPress) In a tragic event, a man was killed after being severely assaulted by his brother-in-law in Gurugram's Noorpur Village, as stated by local police.

The authorities apprehended three suspects on Tuesday who were attempting to flee the city to evade law enforcement.

Law enforcement received a notification from the civil hospital regarding a man who had been brought in deceased, exhibiting multiple injuries likely incurred during a dispute on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Ajay, a resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar, while the suspect was identified as Govind Kumar from Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

According to police reports, the complainant informed them that he had engaged both Govind and Ajay to manage the tubewell on his agricultural land in Noorpur Village, Gurugram, as they were related.

"On Sunday, while the complainant was irrigating his crops, he noticed that both Govind and Ajay had been drinking alcohol, leading to an argument between them. At around 10:30 pm, he heard the sounds of a struggle and witnessed Govind pinning Ajay to the ground in front of the tubewell, beating him severely. Ajay was bleeding from his head. Following this, Govind fled the scene," the complainant reported to the police.

A murder case was subsequently filed at the Bilaspur police station in Gurugram based on the complaint.

In a swift response, a police unit from the station apprehended the suspects at the Bhoda Kalan Village bus stand on Tuesday.

"The police team has retrieved the stick used in the assault from the suspect's possession. The accused is currently undergoing interrogation as per legal procedures. The investigation is ongoing," stated Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the Gurugram Police.
