Chandigarh, Aug 12 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, inaugurated the 'Tiranga Yatra' on Tuesday, which is being spearheaded by female students from Chandigarh. This journey will traverse through Punjab and is set to culminate at the historic Lal Chowk in Jammu and Kashmir on August 18.
Organized by the Media Student Association, the yatra is designed to promote unity, foster respect for the national flag, and reinforce the bonds of brotherhood throughout the nation.
The Chief Minister honored the occasion by laying floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Mata.
During his address, CM Saini extended his congratulations to the association's office-bearers, particularly the more than 100 girl students participating in this march.
He emphasized, “This entire yatra is being led and managed by girl students. When our daughters take the lead in any campaign, it gains sensitivity, determination, and resolve manifold. This journey showcases not only the strength and courage of Haryana’s daughters but also represents the power of women across the nation. I wish all the girls a bright future ahead,” he stated.
The Chief Minister noted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts have been made toward women's empowerment over the last 11 years.
He referenced the recent 'Operation Sindoor' as a demonstration of India’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty. The contributions of India's two daughters, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sophia Qureshi, who led the operation with courage and pride, were also highlighted.
He asserted that it is Prime Minister Modi's unyielding resolve that anyone who attempts to harm India will face a fitting response from the courageous soldiers.
“Today’s India is a 'Naya Bharat', strong, self-reliant, and advancing swiftly under the Prime Minister's leadership,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister underscored the importance of the Tricolor, stating, “The Tiranga is in our hearts, in our actions, and it is our pride. It is a priceless legacy of sacrifice and patriotism from our ancestors.”
As the nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day on August 15, with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit, he conveyed his heartfelt wishes to all. The event was filled with patriotic chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', 'Vande Mataram', and 'Jai Hind'.
