Hyderabad, March 16 (NationPress) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced a heatwave warning for Telangana, forecasting that temperatures in at least five districts could rise to 41-44 degrees Celsius over the next two days.

The IMD has placed an orange alert for the districts of Adilabad, Jagitial, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, and Rajana Sircilla, where maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 41 and 44 degrees Celsius.

Heatwave conditions are predicted to be particularly intense in isolated regions of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, and Jagtial, according to the IMD.

For the remaining areas of the state, a yellow alert has been issued, indicating that maximum temperatures may range from 36 to 40 degrees Celsius.

As of Sunday, temperatures exceeded 40 degrees Celsius in 22 out of 33 districts in Telangana.

Asifabad in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district recorded the highest temperature at 42.4 degrees Celsius.

Reports from the Telangana Development Planning Society noted that Neradigonda in Adilabad, Mandamarri in Macherial, and Veernapalle in Rajanna Sircicilla all reached maximum temperatures of 41.5 degrees Celsius.

Dry conditions are expected to persist across Telangana until March 20, with mist or hazy conditions anticipated during the mornings over the next three days.

There is no significant change expected in maximum temperatures over the following two days, but a decrease in temperatures is projected thereafter.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely in isolated areas across Telangana on March 21.

The IMD also predicts a partly cloudy sky for Hyderabad and nearby regions in the next 24 hours, with mist or haze expected in the mornings.
