Dense fog covered several areas on the outskirts of Hyderabad, along with Ranga Reddy, Sanga Reddy, Vikarabad, Medak, Adilabad, and Komaram Bheem Asifabad districts.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for seven districts.
The IMD's bulletin suggests that cold wave conditions are likely to persist in isolated areas of Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts.
An orange alert has been issued for these regions, which may experience minimum temperatures between 5-10 degrees Celsius until December 26.
Additionally, a yellow alert is in effect for districts such as Hanumakonda, Hyderabad, Jagtial, Jangaon, Karimnagar, Mahabubabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Rajanna Sircilla, Ranga Reddy, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Warangal, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, where temperatures are expected to drop between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius over the next five days.
The remaining 11 districts are anticipated to have minimum temperatures above 15 degrees Celsius.
The IMD bulletin indicates that dry weather is likely to continue in Telangana for the next two days, with minimum temperatures expected to fall below normal by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in some areas.
Hyderabad and its neighboring regions are forecasted to experience a partly cloudy sky over the next 24 hours. Fog or misty conditions are likely during the mornings, with hazy conditions expected at night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are projected to be around 28 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius, respectively.
