Cold Wave Conditions Affecting Regions of Telangana

Hyderabad, Jan 2 (NationPress) Minimum temperatures have significantly dropped across various parts of Telangana, with a fresh wave of cold wave-like conditions impacting the state, including the capital city of Hyderabad on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, dense fog covered several areas on the outskirts of Hyderabad, as well as the united Medak district.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), some regions in Medak and Sangareddy districts recorded minimum temperatures in the single digits.
Out of the 33 districts, eleven reported minimum temperatures of 15 degrees Celsius or lower.
Sirpur in the Komaram Bheem Asifabad district was identified as the coldest location in the state, with a minimum temperature of 7.3 degrees Celsius. Tiryani, also located in Komaram Bheem Asifabad, recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius.
In Kohir of Sangareddy district, temperatures fell to 8.4 degrees Celsius. The Algol area in the same district registered 9.1 degrees Celsius, while Nyalkal recorded 9.5 degrees Celsius.
Tekmal in Medak district noted a minimum temperature of 11.5 degrees Celsius, whereas Damarancha recorded 11.7 degrees Celsius.
Munigadapa also experienced a minimum temperature of 11.7 degrees Celsius, and Kondapaka had a temperature of 12.2 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures also dipped in Hyderabad and its suburbs. The University of Hyderabad (UoH) campus in Gachibowli recorded the lowest temperature at 11 degrees Celsius.
As temperatures fell considerably, a thick layer of fog covered numerous places, particularly the outskirts of Hyderabad, including Kompally, Patancheru, L B Nagar, and Vanasthalipuram.
In Greater Hyderabad, where minimum temperatures had been ranging from 15 degrees Celsius to 19 degrees Celsius over the past few days, temperatures have now dipped below 15 degrees Celsius. At Moula Ali, the temperature fell to 12.1 degrees Celsius, while Rajendranagar registered a minimum of 12.3 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department indicates that low-level winds are primarily blowing from the East/North East direction.
Dry weather is anticipated to continue across the state. Mist or hazy conditions are likely to occur during morning hours in isolated pockets across a few districts in Telangana over the next five days, according to the IMD bulletin.
