Chennai, Nov 12 (NationPress) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted significant rainfall in select areas across four districts in southern Tamil Nadu — Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, and Kanyakumari — on Wednesday.
The department linked this weather phenomenon to a trough of low pressure persisting over the southeast Arabian Sea. The most recent bulletin from the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai indicates that this atmospheric disturbance is likely to trigger extensive showers along the southern coastal regions, especially in the hilly areas of Tirunelveli district.
