New Delhi, Dec 18 (NationPress) On Thursday, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for receiving Oman's prestigious civilian award, 'The First Class of the Order of Oman'.

In a message shared on X, HM Shah stated, 'The First Class of the Order of Oman awarded to PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji is a monumental recognition of his statesmanship and global leadership. Such back-to-back accolades highlight the strength of 140 crore Indians and signify India’s transformation under his guidance.'

This marks the 29th global honour for PM Modi.

Just two days prior, he was awarded the 'Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia' by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in a ceremony at the Addis International Convention Centre for his remarkable efforts in enhancing bilateral relations and for his visionary global leadership. PM Modi conveyed his heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Abiy and the Ethiopian people for this recognition.

Earlier on Thursday, PM Modi met with Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik of Oman in Muscat, where they discussed strategies to deepen their strategic partnership. Both leaders oversaw the signing of significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements.
