Hyderabad, April 22 (NationPress) An Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer hailing from Hyderabad is among the tourists who tragically lost their lives in the recent terror attack in Kashmir on Tuesday.

Manish Ranjan, originally from Bihar, was fatally shot in front of his wife and children.

This IB officer, assigned to the ministerial section of the IB's Hyderabad office, was on a Leave Travel Concession (LTC) journey with his family.

The family was visiting Baisaran Valley, often referred to as 'Mini Switzerland', along with other tourists when the assault occurred.

In response, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed profound shock regarding the violent incident in Jammu and Kashmir.

He condemned the heinous act, stating that such cowardly attacks cannot diminish the resolve and strength of the Indian populace.

The Chief Minister called upon the Union government to enact the most stringent measures against the terrorist factions responsible.

He also offered prayers for the departed souls and extended his condolences to the bereaved families.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also voiced his disapproval of the terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir.

“I am deeply disturbed by the attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. I vehemently denounce this senseless act of violence. My sincere sympathies go to the families who have suffered losses, and I wish a swift recovery to those injured,” CM Naidu remarked on X.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan of Andhra Pradesh also expressed his dismay regarding the incident.

“I am profoundly saddened by the tragic terrorist attack that occurred today in Baisaran, Pahalgam, Anantnag region of Jammu and Kashmir, often referred to as 'Mini Switzerland'.

The loss of 27 innocent tourists and injuries to 20 others is incredibly distressing. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and hope for a quick recovery for the injured,” remarked the Deputy CM.

The leader of Jana Sena noted that despite ongoing efforts by the Union government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to combat terrorism, such incidents continue to pose serious concerns.

He urged the Jammu and Kashmir government and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to ensure seamless coordination with Central forces to implement strict measures aimed at protecting both tourists and local inhabitants.

“Our nation and its citizens will fully support any decisive actions taken by the Central government to eradicate terrorist threats and bolster national security,” he stated.

K.T. Rama Rao, Working President of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), also expressed his sorrow over the tragic loss of life resulting from the horrific terrorist attack.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the tourists who lost their lives. I strongly denounce this cowardly act of violence and implore the Indian government to ensure justice for the victims' families.”
