Hyderabad, April 23 (NationPress) Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, spearheaded a protest in Hyderabad on Wednesday, expressing outrage over the terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam that resulted in the tragic loss of 26 tourists. AIMIM President and local MP, Asaduddin Owaisi, also vehemently condemned the incident and urged the Centre to take decisive action against the terrorists.

Kishan Reddy, who also serves as the President of the BJP's Telangana unit, along with fellow party MPs, MLAs, and other leaders, organized the protest at the Ambedkar statue situated near Tank Bund, a central area of the city.

Waving Indian national flags, the participants chanted slogans denouncing Pakistan and paying tribute to the deceased tourists.

BJP MPs K. Laxman, E Rajender, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and others joined the demonstration.

Reddy expressed his sorrow regarding the attack, stating, “I am deeply pained by the horrific terror attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. This despicable and inhumane act of violence is intolerable, and those responsible will face consequences. My heartfelt sympathies go out to the grieving families, and I wish for the swift recovery of the injured. The nation stands united against terrorism,” he posted on X.

Meanwhile, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi also condemned the attack, emphasizing that terrorists targeted innocent people based on their religion in Pahalgam. He expressed hope that the government would impose justice on these terrorists.

“This is a tragic event. It is a massacre. We stand in solidarity with the affected families and pray for a quick recovery of the injured,” he stated.

Owaisi remarked that the terror attack indicated a failure in intelligence and urged the Modi government to reassess its deterrence strategy.

He noted that this incident was even more reprehensible than the Uri and Pulwama attacks, as terrorists from a neighboring country targeted civilians. “Our party demands accountability from the Modi government,” he asserted.

Owaisi pointed out that the attack was aimed at sabotaging the tourism sector, highlighting that the terrorists chose a remote area that lacks road access.
