Eight specialized teams have been established to locate the suspects, who fled in an autorickshaw towards Tank Bund. After reviewing CCTV footage, authorities confirmed that the criminals traveled in a three-wheeler towards Tank Bund.
Authorities believe the suspects may have escaped towards Secunderabad, prompting police to inspect vehicles near railway and bus terminals to prevent their getaway.
Additionally, a team from Bidar Police has arrived in Hyderabad for further investigation. It is suspected that the suspects originated from Madhya Pradesh and were attempting to flee through Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
One of the individuals is believed to be involved in a robbery of ₹93 lakh in Bidar. The incident escalated when the travel agency manager became suspicious of their behavior and requested them to reveal the contents of their bags while they were boarding a bus to Raipur.
Jahangir, the ticket manager of Roshan Travels, was shot and subsequently hospitalized at Princess Essra Hospital in the old city. According to Moazzam from Roshan Travels, the suspects approached the agency to purchase tickets to Raipur under the name Amit Kumar.
They boarded a minibus destined for the outskirts of the city, where they would transfer to a bus bound for Raipur. When the ticket manager insisted on inspecting their bags, one of them attempted to bribe him with a bundle of cash.
However, Jahangir refused the cash and insisted they open their bags, leading one suspect to draw a weapon and shoot at him.
The suspects fled towards Osmania Hospital, where a few police officers from Karnataka were also present, heading to Raipur for a separate investigation.
B. Balaswami, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Zone), stated that specialized teams are actively pursuing the robbers. Authorities suspect the assailants were involved in a high-profile robbery in Bidar on Thursday morning.
The perpetrators, riding a motorcycle, fired six rounds, resulting in the death of a security guard and injuring another, before making off with ₹93 lakh that was intended for loading at a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM located at Shivaji Chowk in Bidar. This incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. as cash-loading staff arrived at the busy ATM site.
