Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Kolkata, Jan 10 (NationPress) In light of the Trinamool Congress’ intense reactions to the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid and search operations conducted on Thursday at the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) office located in Salt Lake, as well as at the residence of I-PAC co-founder Pratik Jain on Loudon Street in central Kolkata, I-PAC released a carefully worded statement on Friday.
In its statement, I-PAC confirmed its readiness to fully cooperate with the central investigative agency regarding the ongoing probe.
“On Thursday, officials from the Enforcement Directorate executed searches at both the I-PAC office and the residence of our Director, Pratik Jain, in Kolkata. This incident marks a challenging and regrettable day for a professional entity like I-PAC. We perceive this situation as raising substantial concerns and establishing an unsettling precedent. Nevertheless, we have pledged our complete cooperation and will persist in doing so as the process unfolds, while respecting the law,” the statement from I-PAC indicated.
The authorities at I-PAC stressed that the organization has consistently adhered to the highest standards of professional integrity. Despite the events of Thursday, I-PAC remains dedicated to its mission, undeterred and accountable, driven by the same guiding principles that have formed its foundation from the outset.
The statement further clarified that I-PAC’s role as strategists for various political parties is confined to offering transparent and professional political consulting, without being swayed by ideological differences.
“Over the years, I-PAC has served in an advisory capacity for numerous political parties across varying ideologies and regions, including the Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, All India Trinamool Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, YSR Congress Party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now BRS), Janata Dal (United), and Shiv Sena, among others. We do not participate in elections or hold political offices. Our involvement is strictly limited to transparent and professional political consulting, unaffected by ideological divides,” the I-PAC statement concluded.
