IAF to Host Industry Engagement Event in Guwahati on January 15

New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) Aiming to enhance India's defence capabilities and encourage homegrown innovation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) is planning the Industry Outreach Event 25 (IOE25).

This initiative intends to strengthen partnerships within the industry by identifying potential opportunities in the defence sector and leveraging advanced technology to support India's strategic goal of achieving self-reliance, as stated in an official announcement.

The event is scheduled to unfold over two days, commencing with an online session on January 13 and continuing with an onsite segment at Air Force Station Guwahati on January 15.

IOE25 will act as a vital platform for connecting defence industry stakeholders, innovators, and start-ups with the IAF, emphasizing the necessity for innovation in defence and the government’s commitment and vision towards establishing an Atmanirbhar defence ecosystem.

Key discussions during the online phase will feature a session titled 'A Brief on Atmanirbharta Initiatives by IAF' presented by the Directorate of Aerospace Design, IAF; 'A Brief on iDEX Schemes, Policies and Processes' by the Defence Innovation Organization (DIO), MoD; a 'Presentation on Quality Assurance and Certification Processes' by DGAQA; a 'Presentation on Airworthiness Certification Process' by CEMILAC; and 'An Introduction to Certification Requirements and Testing Processes for Airborne and Aviation Related Systems' by the Aircraft Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), IAF.

The second phase of IOE25 is set to take place at Air Force Station Guwahati on January 15, where direct interactions with operators will enable industry representatives to gain a deeper understanding of operational requirements and pinpoint areas for contributing innovative solutions.

In another event, the 18th Brigs MNS work study conference convened under the auspices of the Adjutant General and DGMS (Army) at the Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi on January 3-4.

The conference focused on the theme “Capability Building & Competency in Nursing” and was presided over by Maj Gen Ignatius Delos Flora, Addl DGMNS. Relevant challenges and issues regarding the administration of MNS officers were discussed.

To commemorate the upcoming Centenary Celebration of Military Nursing Service in 2025-2026, DGMS (Army) & Sr Col Comdt Lt Gen Sadhna S. Nair unveiled the Logo and Slogan. The slogan for the Centenary Celebration is 'Honouring the past, Healing the present & Inspiring the Future'.

This conference has been held annually since 2006 to address significant nursing issues that directly or indirectly influence comprehensive quality patient care. With globalization and the increasing complexity of scientific and technical advancements, MNS faces substantial challenges in keeping nursing practices aligned with healthcare needs, training, and Nursing administration.
