Aero India 2025: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Lead Envoys' Round-Table Discussion

New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) Ahead of Aero India 2025, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will spearhead an Ambassadors’ round-table on Friday to update them on the key highlights of Asia’s premier aero exhibition scheduled next month at the Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
Invitations have been sent to Ambassadors and High Commissioners from over 150 allied nations to join the round-table, where the Defence Minister may also personally invite their most senior officials.
The 15th edition of Aero India is set to take place in Bengaluru from February 10 to 14, 2025.
The five-day event will feature a curtain-raiser, an inaugural ceremony, a Defence Ministers’ Conclave, CEOs’ Round-Table, an iDEX start-up showcase, thrilling air displays, a vast exhibition area including an India Pavilion, and a trade fair for aerospace companies.
"The overarching theme is ‘The Runway to a Billion Opportunities’", stated a release.
The Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces, will also attend the round-table event on Friday.
The first three days of Aero India 2025 (February 10, 11, and 12) will be designated as business days, while February 13 and 14 will be open to the public, allowing attendees to experience the exhibition.
This event will serve as a platform for building collaborations between foreign and Indian companies and exploring new opportunities within the global value chain to boost the indigenisation process.
Aero India draws participation from top players in the global aerospace and defence sectors.
It offers a rare chance for industry participants to showcase their expertise, products, and services to a targeted audience. The biennial gathering acts as a nexus for industry leaders to connect and influence the future of aerospace and defence.
Aero India has established itself as a leading global aerospace exhibition, with 14 successful iterations held since 1996 in Bengaluru.
The last event marked significant achievements, attracting over 700,000 visitors, dignitaries from 98 countries, and 809 exhibitors, including businesses, investors, start-ups, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. During this edition, over 250 partnerships, comprising 201 MoUs, major announcements, product launches, and technology transfers worth more than Rs 75,000 crore, were recorded.
The upcoming 2025 edition aims to exceed these benchmarks and promises to be even larger in scale and magnificence.
