Kochi, April 3 (NationPress) The fugitive male associate of a woman IB officer, who tragically took her life by leaping in front of a train 11 days earlier, has submitted an anticipatory bail application in the Kerala High Court on Thursday.
Megha, aged 24, was employed in the emigration wing at the Thiruvananthapuram international airport, while her partner, Sukanth Suresh, currently working at Cochin International Airport, has been evading authorities since March 24, the day she ended her life.
Following revelations from her parents about their daughter’s closeness to a colleague, Suresh's name came to light, and it was later discovered that Megha had been transferring her salary to him.
Recent updates indicate that medical records have surfaced showing that Megha underwent an abortion last year.
Immediately after her death, investigators learned that Megha was in communication with Suresh mere moments before she jumped onto the tracks.
Despite multiple attempts by the Kerala Police to contact Suresh, all efforts have proven fruitless as his residence in Malappuram district was found locked, and his parents are also missing.
Megha and Suresh developed a close bond after participating in a training program in Rajasthan last year. While her mother was aware of their relationship, her father learned of it only later.
He recounted an instance when he received a toll payment alert from Kochi, prompting him to question Megha about her whereabouts there.
"A few months after she joined, I purchased a car for her. One day, I received a message on my mobile regarding a toll charge collected in Kochi. When I inquired about her presence in Kochi, she disclosed the relationship," he stated.
The family has submitted Megha's laptop to the police to assist with the investigation, while her damaged mobile phone was retrieved from near the railway tracks where her body was discovered.
Meanwhile, IB officials had interrogated Suresh for two days before releasing him, and they now find themselves in a precarious situation as he remains untraceable.
