Thiruvananthapuram, March 31 (NationPress) The Kerala Police are ramping up their investigation into the tragic suicide of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Megha, whose remains were discovered near a railway track in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on March 24. Authorities are currently searching for her friend and colleague, Sukanth Suresh, who is employed at Cochin International Airport.

Upon examining the call logs between the two, police identified four calls exchanged moments before Megha, 24, tragically took her life by jumping in front of an oncoming train early last Monday.

Instead of returning home after her shift ended, Megha chose to approach the railway tracks adjacent to her workplace to end her life.

Her father, Madhoosudhanan, disclosed that Megha had a close relationship with Suresh, indicating that all of her salary was being transferred to him, who occasionally sent her money for living expenses.

At the time of her death, Megha's bank account held a mere Rs 80, having transferred her February salary to Suresh's account.

Following her father's information about Suresh, law enforcement has been attempting to track him down; however, his phone and those belonging to his family members were found turned off.

A police team dispatched to his residence in Malappuram was unable to gain entry as the house was locked.

Reports have emerged suggesting that Suresh intends to file for an anticipatory bail plea at the Kerala High Court.

Megha and Suresh developed their bond after participating in a training program in Rajasthan last year. While her mother was aware of their relationship, her father learned of it later.

He recounted an instance when he received a toll payment notification from Kochi, prompting him to question Megha about her whereabouts.

"Months after she joined, I bought her a car. One day, I received a message regarding a toll charge in Kochi. When I inquired why she was there, she informed me about him," he said.

The family has provided Megha's laptop to the police to assist in their investigation, while her broken mobile phone was recovered from the site near the railway track where her body was found.

IB officials had interrogated Suresh for two days before releasing him, but the Kerala Police investigation team has yet to locate him despite their diligent efforts.
