Previously, Goyal conducted a series of high-level virtual discussions with key Gulf partners, emphasizing the importance of supply chain resilience, stable trade flows, and intensified economic collaboration in the wake of the recent ceasefire.
During his interaction with Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Goyal expressed hope that the ceasefire would endure and lay the groundwork for lasting peace and stability.
In a separate conversation with Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi from the United Arab Emirates, Goyal welcomed the ceasefire and highlighted the vital role of uninterrupted trade in sustaining robust bilateral relations.
He conveyed India’s strong support to the UAE while condemning the recent attacks and expressed gratitude to the Emirati leadership for their assistance to the Indian diaspora amid the crisis.
Goyal also discussed matters with Abdulla Bin Adel Fakhro of Bahrain, where both parties stressed the significance of restoring stability and ensuring reliable trade flows, particularly through maritime routes.
